The Loveland Junior Indians (LJI) is
the basketball feeder program to Loveland High School focused on 6th
– 8th grade boys.
LJI currently offers the following
programs:

able to attend.

2010 Tryout Results
6th Grade
At this
time, there is only enough interest to form a single sixth grade team. Further, the possibility of playing in the
Windsor Winter League instead of Gold Crown is being weighed very
seriously. If you have strong opposition
to this possibility, please contact Steve (669-7659 or basketballcoach@vachhome.com)
ASAP. We would like to invite the
following players to this team: 6th
grade #1-9 & 5th grade #1.
7th Grade
As stated
at the end of tryouts, we believe that all 12 seventh graders deserve to be
playing basketball. Therefore, we’d like
to form two teams, but have a couple of challenges: (a) volunteer coach and (b) a few more
players. Our coaches are scouring
schools looking for more players to make this happen. If we cannot make this happen in the next
week or so, we will need to revisit the decision to make two teams, which will
leave some boys out. Please direct any
boys or coaches to Steve (669-7659 or basketballcoach@vachhome.com).

8th Grade
Our
turnout on Sunday was very low. This was
mostly due to another 8th grade team that is being put together
outside of the Loveland Junior Indians program.
It seems quite unlikely that we will find enough players to form this
second team. We are working with the
other team to place some of the players that were there on Sunday. If/when this materializes, please expect
individual communications.

within the LJI Gold Crown teams?
A: There will be a parent seminar sponsored by
Gold Crown that is mandatory for at least one parent per team, but recommended

practices.
Q: Are the coaches paid or volunteers?
A: All of the coaches and administration within
the LJI program are volunteers. All money
collected is used as described above.
